Our MissionThe GAP School 's mission is two-fold: it is for students with learning disabilities who need to retrain, refocus, and reconnect with their own learning potential so they can get back into public and charter schools, as well as, other private schools; and it offers support, foundation, and direction to our families. What Is The Gap School?WE are not like other educational institutions. The GAP School is not an institution at all. It is a place where the soul of education exists. It is a healing place for students to rediscover that they can learn. They can reach a deeper connection with a teacher or another student. It is a place where the quality of a relationship resonates with meaning and involves feelings of belonging to a community. It is a place where students are truly seen.

I came from France to visit with my son, Max, for a week last March. I had the opportunity to get to know THE GAP School, where my son attends. I went on a field trip with him. I have to tell you I was so impressed by the children and the teachers. I was surprised by the excellent behavior of every child, the connection that they have with each other, and the respect they have for everybody. Regardless of the problem that each child might have and regardless of gender, age, or size, I felt they were "one" and loved each other. Every student is different. It is amazing to see how every teacher knows exactly how to deal with each child one on one, depending on their needs and regardless of what it's going on around them. I'm glad that my son attends the GAP School. I know this demands a lot of hard work. You have my appreciation.THANK YOU ALL, teachers and children for your dedication, your work, your love...
