The GAP School provides opportunities to recover the joy of learning, as well as to create and maintain meaningful relationships. At the GAP School we celebrate milestones, achievements, and defining moments for students, parents, and staff.

The GAP School offers students the opportunity to be creative and to nourish that creativity through new ideas, works of art, writing, projects, critiquing films, solving math problems, etc.

The GAP School urges students to challenge themselves to go beyond their perceived limits. Students and families are encouraged to see past “disabilities” and concentrate on the abilities within themselves and others.

The GAP School recognizes the rites of passages our students experience as they grow. The staff assists the families in navigating through the challenging pre-teen, adolescence, and teenage years. The GAP School also provides tools in handling life’s transitions, including new starts and difficult farewells.

While striving for academic excellence, the GAP School promotes healing, supports progress, and provides a community for students, families, and staff to stand together for success.

In addition, the Gap School helps students and families find meaning and purpose about big questions regarding learning, belonging, regulating, focusing, reconnecting, and confidence!

We have a class where rest and calm are part of the curriculum so students can enjoy respite from the demands of their academic day. Students are guided through discussions on self-reflection, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution, which empower them to be successful in their other classes.
